THE ONE AND ONLY FREE FALL HOOK
OVERVIEW
This self-releasing harness hook will help making your windsurfing a little bit safer. Everyone knows it, everyone fears it: The foil windsurfing catapult crash. Once adjusted correctly the Freefall Hook will open under excessive load and release the sailor from the harness lines.
Maintenance: Avoid contact with fine sand. Rinse with fresh water after sea and salt water use. Don't apply grease as it can trap sand and block the mechanism. Use small amounts of WD40 if needed and clean off excess oil.
Please remember: This hook is NOT an official safety device. It's an addition to your existing protection gear. It can not protect you from injuries but it may soften your crashes and help to make your foiling experience less dangerous. Always wear your safety gear, helmet and impact vest! Always sail within your limits.
SETTINGS
The release settings can easily be adjusted to your body weight and riding style. Min. required rider weight (without modification) is around 50kgs while the max rider weight should not exeed 150kgs.
SIZING
M = 26 cm wide
L = 29 cm wide
XL = 32 cm wide
(These measurments apply for the use with most double strap harnesses. With a single strap harness the effective width will be approximately 2cm less while using the more inside single strap slots.)
